Virtual Choir is an app to help musicians create video montages. You can record yourself, import recordings from friends and synchronize everything.
====
In order to use it, follow this steps:
1. Create a new Project.
2. If you have an audio or video base to sing/play with, go to Audio/Video Base page and import the file. If you don't have a base, you can record and make that recording the base.
3. Go back do project page and go to Recordings page.
4. Create a new recording pressing the red button at the bottom. Or import an already recorded video using the button at the top. If present, the video or audio base will start playing when you tap record in the camera. Use ear plugs to prevent the audio base to be recorded along your new video.
4. If you don't have an audio base, you can make this recording the base. Go back to Recordings page and tap the me button on the recording and you will see the option.
5. After recording, you can check if it is synchronized. Exit the camera page and you will see the recordings list. Tap the name of the recording to see the details and then tap the Synchronization Tool button.
6. In the Synchronization page you will hear the recording and the base playing together. Use the plus and minus buttons to move the current recording forward or backward if necessary.
7. With the recordings synchronized, you can go back to Project's page and enter the Edit Montage page. There you can drag the recordings to create the video. You can also listen to audio result or a preview of the video with the buttons at the top (don't mind the quality here). Long press to remove a recording. Be creative!
8. After editing the montage, go back to Project's page and go to Video Montages page. There you just tap the green button at the bottom to create the montage.
There are some app settings and project setting you would want to change.
If your recordings doesn't show, try changing the default folder in the app settings.
If the montage takes too long, try decreasing the quality in the project settings. I recommend a minimum of 480p when sharing. You can also try to decrease the quality of the videos (using a third software), before importing, in order to try improving the speed of rendering (maybe I will add this functionality in the app in the future).
====
The app is still in beta development but it was released in order to give people in quarantine the possibility to share their art. It will be free as long as the pandemic goes on.
